Justice is a right, not a privilege.
At Prashant Shukla Law Chambers, we devote a substantial part of our practice before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India to those who cannot afford representation — undertrial prisoners, marginalised communities, whistleblowers, and citizens raising matters of constitutional importance.

Prashant Shukla Law Chambers believes that legal knowledge should not be limited only to those who can afford to pay for it. Through our Free Legal Initiative, we provide free legal information and guidance to the underprivileged sections of society.
Our Mission
Article 39A, lived in practice.
The Constitution promises equal justice and free legal aid. Our Chambers treats this not as charity but as a professional obligation owed to the Court and to the Republic. Every advocate at P.S. Law Chambers commits a fixed quota of hours each year to pro bono litigation.
Where we appear without fee.
Six focus areas guide our pro bono docket. Selection prioritises constitutional significance, vulnerability of the litigant, and likelihood of systemic impact.
Fundamental Rights
Legal representation in matters involving equality, freedom, discrimination, and protection against unlawful actions by authorities.
Public Interest Litigation
Representation of unorganised workers, tribal communities, and citizens raising public causes.
Criminal Appeals & Bail
Undertrial prisoners, death-row convicts, and appeals from High Courts under Article 136.
Environmental Justice
Forest dwellers, displaced communities, and clean-air petitions before constitutional benches.
Women & Child Rights
Domestic violence, custody, trafficking, and POCSO matters carried up on special leave.

Application Form For Legal Aid
We believe a clear understanding of each case is important. Our advocates take time to understand the facts of a matter, prepare documents carefully, and coordinate with a client’s existing lawyers where needed, so the case is properly placed before the Court.
